How to set up HDR in Assassin's Creed Shadows
- ›⚠ This game’s HDR is widely considered flawed — compare it against SDR (or PC AutoHDR/RTX HDR) and keep whichever looks better.
- ›Open the game’s own HDR calibration (Settings → Display/Video) — it overrides the system calibration, so set it per the on-screen patterns.
- ›Brightness/Contrast grey out once HDR is enabled and there’s an sRGB-vs-2.2 gamma mismatch, so HDR looks almost identical to SDR by default.
- ›Set Maximum Luminance to your panel peak; if it still looks flat, SDR is a fair alternative here.
