How to set up HDR in Monster Hunter Wilds
- ›⚠ This game’s HDR is widely considered flawed — compare it against SDR (or PC AutoHDR/RTX HDR) and keep whichever looks better.
- ›Open the game’s own HDR calibration (Settings → Display/Video) — it overrides the system calibration, so set it per the on-screen patterns.
- ›Digital Foundry flagged incorrect Rec.709 colour handling — HDR looks washed out with grey shadows that the in-menu sliders can’t fully fix.
- ›If it looks milky, SDR (or PC RTX HDR) is often the better-looking option.
